Nature Resistance gear for Hydross. Magical resistance caps out at 365 (75% mitigation), for level 70 players facing level 73 raid bosses (effectively boss level * 5).
Magical resistance caps out at 365 (75% mitigation), for level 70 players facing level 73 raid bosses (effectively boss level * 5). This list should add up to more than 365, allowing you to mix and match pieces.
(I know that the links are broken, will remedy this later). Same as the tanking gem reference, but for healing. I play a paladin, thus the reason why no spirit gems were included. Same schpeel as the other gem list: if the socket bonus is crap, don't worry about gem color, maximize whatever stat you need.
This list is centered around raid tanking stats, thus why it's focused on avoidance and defensive effects. I left off the spell damage gems, assuming that folks are getting it from gear + chants. White gems are left off because, who the hell sockets white quality gems. Shame on you.
I just pulled these off of WoWWiki. I hate picking through the entire gem list in order to find just the tanking ones. So for the sake of reference, all of the tanking gems are broken down by color.
Remember: If the socket bonus is crap, don't bother worrying about the gem colors. Just maximize HP, mitigation, or whatever you need.
